A multi-platform campaign for Spotify

The good folks at Spotify reached out to collaborate on a graphic toolkit and multi-platform OOH campaign for Spotify Now. This project included motion content for social media, digital billboards, Times Square, an awards show, and a Youtube masthead. Lots of deliverables, lots of sizes, and lots of fun!


The Team

For this project, the design and art direction was locked down by Spotify’s internal creative team. My role was to lead the motion design animation and production. Did I say it was a lot of deliverables? I reached out to my good buddy and longtime creative collaborator - Chace Hartman to help produce this project.

Montage for 9x16 Content


Cannes Film Festival

A special group of 9x16 and 16x9 versions were created for the Cannes Film Festival. Dancing cats, floating heads in the sky, and ice cream buddies melting on a hot day were some of the design motifs that visualized the catch words for each NOW moment.

Miami Placements

Spotify supplied some exquisite illustrated designs for 3 distinct placements in Miami. These were very fun to animate - mixing After Effects tricks, low frames, and cel animated assets made in Procreate.


Artists & Podcasts

We were super-excited to bring a wide variety of designs to life to showcase a range of Artists & Podcasts.


Graphic Toolkit

The first stage of this project required the development of a flexible graphic toolkit to build the SPOTIFY NOW bar & frame on-screen, as well as showcase the brand logo, NOW copy, and headline copy.
