Pink Pony - Love Animation
A Logo + Type Animation Across Languages
I was commissioned by the creative team at Ralph Lauren to create an animation of the word “LOVE” in a variety of languages to help promote the PINK PONY charitable initiative. When you purchase the “Live Love” Light Pink Shirt, 100% of the purchase price is donated to the Pink Pony Fund of The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation or to an international network of cancer charities.
This project was delivered at 5, 10, and 15 second versions for a variety of sizes in both Social Media, Web, and OOH placements.
The process for this project required a series of low-fi cel animation motion tests to work out the fluid transitions between languages. I used Procreate on the iPad to establish frame-by-frame transformations, then recreated this movement in After Effects with a mash-up of keyframes, paths, and masking techniques.
